Artists-in-Residence

Training with prominent guest artists and choreographers is certainly a dream for Mississippi dancers, but it is also a tremendous learning experience. Through the Artist-in-Residence program dancers like

• Mikhail Ilyin (American Ballet Theater)
• Mary Carmen Catoya (Miami City Ballet)
• Mabel Modrono (Phantom of the Opera)

and choreographers,

• Diana Law (who created Ballet Mississippi's Passages ballet)
• Marcus Alford (Dancentre South, Atlanta Ga)

share their energy, technique, and love of dance.

Students aren’t the only beneficiaries of this great talent. Mississippi audiences are treated to world-class dancers and choreography without leaving the state.
